Children

We are committed to including and engaging children in every aspect of our congregational life. We want to make worship, education, service, giving, and fellowship something that connects with children at their developmental level.

JUNIOR CHURCH

Calling all kids ages 4yrs. to 5th grade!!! Come join us Sunday mornings (9:15 am-9:45 am) during the early service for a fun-filled, interactive time of learning and growing with your friends! We now have 2 classes; one for preschool-Kindergarten and one for grades 1 through 5. In the past we have enjoyed making movies, listening to Bible stories, playing games, making crafts, learning about the world, singing, and putting on plays.  Come see what we’ll be doing this Sunday in Jr. Church!

FAMILY FUN NIGHT

“Family Fun Night” meets once a month (October – May) for families with one or more children in preschool or elementary school. This program will meet the first Wednesday of each month in the Fellowship Hall. We will begin with a simple meal at 5:30 p.m., provided by Nativity, which will be followed by Family games, crafts and other activities. The evening will be geared for the whole family to enjoy each other as well as other families.  Family Night will continue through the school year, so round up your entire family: grandparents, siblings, and whoever wants to come. We will end promptly at 7:00 so families can get children home to bed and ready for school. The evening is free, however, families are asked to call the office by Monday afternoon so we can purchase enough food and supplies for the Wed. program. Each month, families will be asked to bring one item which will be part of the program. Please see the chart below for themes, menus, and the item to bring each month. KID’S NIGHT OUT

We are excited to announce that the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th Wednesday afternoons from 4:00pm-5:30pm (October – May), we have our Kid’s Night Out!  Kid’s Night Out consists of FREE music/art/science lessons, games, field trips, and a weekly special activity.  The goal of Kid’s Night Out is to engage kids grades Pre K-5th, by using the arts, loving mentors, and community service projects.  In this way we hope to provide them with greater opportunities to grow and develop. Hey Kids, invite your friends, ALL ARE WELCOME!

May 2 5:30-7pm               Family Fun Night: Our final FFN of the year. It’s “Bag Night.” Bring a bag picnic dinner for your family and come ready for fun “Bag” games and contests.

May 9 4-5:30pm                   KNO: Kite Fun

May 16 4-5:30pm                 KNO: Your favorite games!  Kickball & Sardines

May 23 4-5:30pm                 KNO: Movie Night “Alvin & the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked” – Last KNO of the school year.

June 20 11am-2pm              Wild Wacky Wednesday at Blakely park. Bring your lunch and come ready for outdoor fun!

We are looking for volunteers to help all of these programs. We need Parents, Grandparents, Godparents, Aunts, Uncles, High School and Middle School Youth. Basically, WE NEED YOU! to make our ministry complete.
