High School

Nativity Youth Collective

The Nativity Youth Collective (or NYC, as our students call it) high school ministry exists as a coming together of imaginations, creative minds, and hope–with the belief that another world is possible…

A collective is defined as a group of different individuals coming together with a common purpose…

Our high school community gets together off-campus on Monday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, to spend some time with one another. Set in a non-threatening environment, students are encouraged to invite friends to come and join the action!

Each week we enjoy a different activity, hang, and have fun! In the past we have had a film night, a trip to the soaking tub at McMenamins downtown, Chinese food night, and the always hilarious karaoke night!

Annual Summer Trip

Each summer we load up vans and hit the road for our annual summer trip. This service learning experience is a major highlight of the year for our high school students. By partnering with local community-based organizations, we seek to learn about the needs of the city and help as volunteers to fill those needs. In 2006 we traveled to San Francisco…2007 gave us Los Angeles…2008 was a blast in Seattle…2009 was an amazing trip to Chicago. In 2010, our annual trip was back to San Francisco.

Nicaragua 2010

A select group of High Schoolers went to Nicaragua for an intercultural service learning trip.
