How do you feed your soul? Two ways: I nourish it with deep doses of Christian community practices and I take personal sabbath in God's creation on bicycles, motorcycles, snowshoes and hiking boots.

Family Stats: I have an amazing man in my life, and I have two girls in their 20's; my dad in Albany, OR and my mom here in Bend. I also have two brothers; one in Albany, OR and one in DFW area, Texas.

Favorite Food: I love Mexican food, but nothing too spicy! I am a big weenie when it comes to spicy food. I also love to cook, and love a challenge!

If I could change one thing about the world, it would be for everyone to be treated equally and be accepted no matter what their background or upbringing.

How do you feed your soul? Crafting and spending time with my dogs, my fiancé, or my girls. I also love to go on adventures with my guy!

How do you feed your soul? Other than may work teaching, I enjoy playing music with/for other people, and getting outside (biking, hiking, skiing, etc. )

Join Our Mission

Instead of joining our congregation, we ask you to consider joining our mission. we are called by the grace of God, to reach out to all people with the love of Jesus Christ. If this is a goal that you feel that you can offer yourself to seeing fulfilled, we ask you to consider the following practices:

Regular worship
Individual study and prayer
Work in the community on behalf of those in need
Generous giving of resources

We do not want to quantify what each of these practices should look like in your life. Everyone needs to start where they are and set goals in faith. We simply ask our mission partners to set themselves on a path of discipleship.

We will offer classes in both the mission of our church and the discipleship practices twice a year. We encourage anyone interested in joining our mission to participate in the class. We will also have a celebration welcoming new mission partners to our family of faith several times a year.

Safe Church Policy

Purpose

The purpose of the Nativity Lutheran Church (NLC) Safe Church Policy is to implement and maintain a safe environment for children, youth, and adults so that all may participate freely in NLC’s ministries and programs. The goal of the Safe Church Policy is to foster an atmosphere free from all forms of discrimination, harassment, exploitation, or intimidation, including sexual exploitation and sexual harassment. Such behavior is prohibited by NLC policy and will not be tolerated.

Objectives

All ministry areas and programs will incorporate this policy into all activities, ensure their staff and volunteers are trained, and communicate clear expectations to participants as appropriate.

Applicability

The policy applies to all activity occurring on NLC premises and during NLC-sanctioned activities off the NLC grounds.
