youth ministry
Every person is accepted. All questions are welcomed.
Our Middle School and High School groups exist as a safe, welcoming space where every middle schooler or high schooler feels accepted, affirmed, cared for, and introduced into God’s larger story.
Middle School
We are joining in partnership with Bend Church and Storydwelling for a middle school youth group. Join us on Sundays from 4:00-6:30pm at Bend Church for some dinner and youth activities.
High School
We have hosted special events, weekend retreats, and participated in a week-long Immersion Trip and hope these things will continue in 2024.
Confirmation
Pastor Chris is currently facilitating a weekly confirmation class between services for Middle Schoolers.
The classes provide a survey of the Scriptures and Christian ethics, along with an understanding of the Luther’s Small Catechism.
children’s service
Calling all kids ages 2 1/2 yrs. to 5th grade!!!
Come join us Sunday mornings during the 9:00 am service (September through May) for a fun-filled, interactive time of learning and growing with your friends! We now have 2 classes; one for preschool-1st Grade and one for grades 2 through 5. We have enjoyed listening to Bible stories, playing games, making crafts, learning about the world, singing, putting on plays, and praying. Come see what we’ll be doing this Sunday in Jr. Church!
family fun night
Family Fun Night meets occasionally for families with one or more children in preschool or elementary school. We begin with a simple meal provided by Nativity or pot-lucked, then followed with Family games, crafts and other activities. The evenings are geared for the whole family to enjoy each other and with other families. Past events have included Glow-in-the-Dark Night, Pumpkin Carving Party, Turkey Bowling, Gingerbread Nativity Scene Party, and more. Family Nights are for everyone, so round up your entire family: grandparents, siblings, and whoever wants to come.
vacation bible school
Vacation Bible School is a fun week full of bible stories, games, crafts, science, snacks, and making new friends. This year’s VBS program was “On Earth As In Heaven” where we learned more about the Lord’s Prayer. Check back here in 2024 to see our next VBS program.
nursery
We have a Nursery that is not currently staffed. Most families enjoy having the kids in service coloring at the Children’s Table in the Sanctuary. The nursery is open for parents to use the changing table or for kids to play with the toys under parental supervision. We will staff the nursery if requested.
